Movies I have liked a lot.

The Killers
A sultry femme fatale, a handsome Burt Lancaster and one of the best photography I have ever seen in Film Noir. More than enough ingredients to love The Killers besides the groundbreaking method at the time of telling a story on a series of flashbacks. Seriously beautiful with magnificent interesting shots in almost every frame. Ava Gardner's beauty really shines here. Now I know why she is considered as one of the most beautiful women of Hollywood ever.

There are movies that are hard to forget and this is one of them. Barbara Stanwyck plays my favourite type of femme fatale, cold and calculating yet alluring; Billy Wilder delivers a near perfect script with sharp dialogues and, (very important in this type of films) perfect casting. A brilliant example of Noir as well as a classic.

One of the best noirs I have seen so far. It has that touch of humanity that John Huston adds to his movies. Beautifully shot with visual influences of Citizen Kane.

The Woman of the Port (Aracdy Boytler) Mexican early film about a prostitute. The theme of prostitution is not a new one however, the photography, the lighting and the composition are just brilliant.

Rififi (Jules Dassin)
Absolutely the best of the noirs I've seen so far. For its realism and nail biting plot. An amazing achievment and totally ground-breaking. With Jean Servais as what has to be one of the most charismatic aniheroes of the Noir genre.

Saturday Night and Sunday Morning (Karel Reizs)
Albert Finney's mesmerizing acting role in one of the best British movies of the 60's. A weekend in the life of an angry young working lad in Nottingham based on the novel of the same name by Allan Sillitoe. If you must watch a 60's British movie this is the one.

Gold Rush

Modern Times

Chaplin dancing and singing . The beauty here is that Chaplin sings the song in a made up language that makes no sense, so the public still has to rely on him miming the song. Pay no attention to the "lyrics" and watch him mime the song.
